PUZZLE 18th December 2004 – 5th February 2005
Arman, Gianfranco Baruchello, Mauro Betti, Arturo Carmassi, Mario Ceroli, Giuseppe Chiari, Tano Festa, Gilbert & Gorge, Raymond Hains, Aldo Mondino, Giulia Napoleone, Mimmo Paladino, Roberto Pietrosanti, Renato Ranaldi, Mario Schifano, Mauro Staccioli, Joe Tilson, Giulio Turcato, Gilberto Zorio. Galleria Il Ponte closes this year’s winter exhibition season with a substantial collective show dedicated to the big names which have made their mark – with some of them continuing to do so – on the history of art from the Sixties to the present day. Following Paul Klee in his Pädagogisches Skizzenbuch “The eye follows the paths laid out for it in the work of art” through the artwork of the twenty artists on show, the visitor becomes curious to find an improbable transparent thread to follow, the piece needed to join together the other pieces of the puzzle and make it whole again.
