Carlo Guaita was born in Palermo in 1954; he lives and works in Florence. He graduated in Geological Sciences at the University of Florence. He exhibited in galleries in Italy and abroad (Gallery Paludetto, Turin, 1988 and 1989; British Academy in Rome, 1997, Faggionato Fine Arts, London 1998; Galerie Bernard Bouche, Paris, 1998, 2001, 2004).
He partecipated in the Venice Biennale (section Aperto 88), in the exhibition Spazi 88 at the Pecci Museum in Prato and in the exhibition Corrispondenzen (Martin Gropius Bau, Berlin).
In 2014 he partecipated in the exhibition Lost in Landscape at the Mart in Rovereto. In 2016 he partecipated in the Rome Quadriennal. In 2017 he exhibited in personal shows at the gallery Gentili in Florence, at the gallery Artopia in Milan, and at the gallery Bernard Bouche in Paris, where he showed in 2023 as well. In the same year, one of his works acquired by the Collection of the Galleria d’Arte Moderna in Rome was exhibited in the collection. In May 2025 he exhibits Maree at the gallery Il Ponte in Florence.
He published varoius catalogues with texts by, among others, Emilio Villa, Elio Grazioli, Giorgio Maragliano, Giovanni Iovane, Alfredo Pirri, Saretto Cincinelli, Mauro Panzera, Denis Viva.
