Non è sangue è gioco 2019

NON È SANGUE È GIOCO
the female conflict between art and feeling
CAROLINA IELARDI | DONATELLA MEI
5 and 6 october, 7.00 pm

As part of the festival L’Eredità delle Donne, Il Ponte hosts the performance Non è sangue è gioco by and with Donatella Mei and Carolina Ielardi.

It is a multimedia show on the conflict between art and feelings in the female world and in particular that of Dora Maar (Donatella Mei) and Camille Claudel (Carolina Ielardi), two extremely valuable artists still little known since they are overshadowed by a society which has given little space to women so far. Camille and Dora, both sentimentally linked to famous artists, Rodin and Picasso, although probably thanks to these encounters they gained a certain visibility, they ended up being destroyed.

The event is organized by the cultural association Il bello e il cattivo tempo and is part of the program of L’Eredità delle Donne. The festival, directed by Serena Dandini and produced by Elastica and Fondazione Cr Firenze, is designed to re-read the artistic and cultural heritage of Florence and our country with the aim of restoring light to the role played over the centuries by women scientists and artists, writers and pioneers of all fields of knowledge, but not always recognized as equal of male colleagues.
